As part of our celebrations for the 80th anniversary of VE day, we were thrilled to receive a Peace Card from The Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Syeda Khatun MBE.
We had another special visitor. Betty who had an original Peace Card from 1938. Betty, now 93, was able to pass on the memories to our pupils of the moment she received her ‘Borough Card’ at the old St Mark’s school in Spring Street in Tipton.
What a way to start our celebrations!
