Introduction: 5 January 2026
Each half term, we look at different artists from across the world. As part of our art lessons, we study their work and discuss the different mediums they use. We talk about what we like and dislike and these are on display in our corridor.

Our artist for Spring 2 is Gwen John, a famous Welsh portrait artist who spent her time looking at significant women. As part of our studies of her, we will look at the colours she uses and the meaning behind her work. Some of the children have recreated her artwork using oil pastels. See pictures 1 and 2 below.
