Year 2 had a fantastic time at Conkers! The children thoroughly enjoyed their exciting day out, packed with adventure, laughter, and hands-on learning.

One of the highlights was bravely conquering the barefoot walk. With plenty of giggles and squeals, the children explored the sensory trail, feeling different textures under their feet – from squelchy mud and cool pebbles to soft grass and crunchy leaves. It was a wonderful way for them to connect with nature using all their senses!

There was also plenty of time for energetic play on the fantastic playgrounds and outdoor equipment. The children made the most of every moment, climbing, sliding, balancing, and running around in the fresh air, building friendships and burning off lots of energy.

In the Learning Zone, the class discovered more about the natural world through interactive displays and activities. They learnt about local wildlife, plants, and the environment, linking perfectly with their topics back in the classroom. The children were engaged, curious, and full of questions throughout.
