Year 5 recently enjoyed a fantastic educational visit to Forge Mill Farm, where they had the opportunity to learn about nature and wildlife in a hands-on environment.
During the visit, the children took part in a nature walk, exploring the local surroundings and observing the plants, flowers, and habitats that support a wide variety of wildlife. They discovered how different plants provide food and shelter for insects, birds, and other animals, helping them to understand the importance of caring for our environment.
The children also enjoyed meeting and petting some of the farm animals, learning more about their care and the role farms play in our community. After a busy morning of learning, everyone took part in a calm and relaxing walk through Sandwell Valley, taking in the beautiful scenery and enjoying time outdoors.
To finish the day, the children had the chance to play together in the park, making the most of the sunshine and spending time with their friends. The trip was a wonderful experience that combined learning, exploration, and fun, creating lasting memories for all involved.
