Pupils from St Paul’s visited the National Memorial Arboretum for a day of learning and reflection, deepening their understanding of remembrance and why it remains important today.
The visit provided an opportunity to remember those who lost their lives in conflict and honour the courage, service and sacrifice of others. It also encouraged pupils to consider the impact of war on families and communities, recognising that behind every memorial are individual lives and stories.
Through reflecting on the importance of peace, respect and compassion, pupils were encouraged to think about their own responsibility to care for others and help build a more peaceful world.
These themes link closely with our Christian values of Love, Hope, Faith and Forgiveness. This was a meaningful visit that brought remembrance beyond the classroom and reminded us of the importance of remembering together.
